Collective Graffiti

The "Collective Graffiti" at Yppenplatz is a social and artistic intervention designed by Aldo Giannotti for the Grätzlbox, a community container in Vienna's 16th district. During a full day, people from Yppenplatz—representing a wide variety of backgrounds and ethnicities—were invited to participate in the collective creation of the graffiti, this collaborative approach turned the Grätzlbox into a visual record of the neighborhood's diversity, moving beyond traditional street art to become a shared social space. The project was designed to foster a sense of ownership and identity among residents, using art as a tool for social cohesion in one of Vienna's most multicultural areas.
